Éric Archambault is a partner in the business law group at Langlois Lawyers. His practice focuses primarily on public and private corporate financing, securities, corporate governance and corporate and commercial law.

Éric is regularly involved in national and cross-border corporate mergers and acquisitions, for which he participates in due diligence processes and contractual drafting. He has handled the completion of several private investments as well as participated, on behalf of issuers and market intermediaries, in listings on the stock exchange, reverse takeovers of capital pool companies, initial public offerings and secondary offerings. On a daily basis, he ensures that public companies maintain their exchange listing requirements and drafts and reviews their continuous disclosure documents. He also guides boards of directors in implementing corporate governance best practices and drafts commercial agreements related to securities transactions.

Before starting his practice with the firm, Éric worked for the University of Montréal’s Centre de droit des affaires et du commerce international (Business Law and International Trade Centre, or CDACI). He assisted university faculty in drafting doctrinal papers and preparing seminars on securities, corporate governance, credit rating agencies and technology transfers in international licensing, franchise and distribution/agency/concession agreements. He has actively contributed to the preparation of seminars given by the firm about reverse takeover bids, joint ventures and continuous disclosure requirements.
