A large part of Jean-François Gagnon’s practice lies in developing insurance structures, reinsurance and distribution agreements, and new insurance products. He regularly advises clients on the risks of certain insurance products and drafts policy wordings accordingly. He is renowned for his expertise in risk management, risk transfer and risk pooling.
Clients often call on him for advice, coaching and training on governance issues. They also call on his strategic and crisis management expertise. He has wide-ranging experience in complex cases involving regulators, directors’ and officers’ liability, management of not-for-profit organizations, professional liability, contractual liability and construction law.
