Langlois is proud to have advised Peikko Group Oy, a Finnish global leader in slim floor structures and connection technologies for precast and concrete construction, and its subsidiary Peikko Canada Inc. on a transaction that expands the group’s manufacturing capabilities in Québec.
As part of the transaction, Peikko took over responsibility for the production of its DELTABEAM® composite beams at the LaSalle facility in Montréal. Peikko acquired the related manufacturing equipment from Nova Steel Products Inc., a long-standing partner, and entered into a lease agreement for the production facilities. Pursuant to the transaction, 25 employees have joined Peikko Canada Inc.
This marks yet another important step in Peikko’s growth in Canada. By integrating DELTABEAM® manufacturing directly into its Montréal operations, the company is strengthening its manufacturing base in Québec and enhancing its capacity to support continued growth across North America.
Langlois advised Peikko throughout the asset acquisition and employee integration process, drawing on the firm’s expertise in mergers and acquisitions, tax, and labour and employment law. This mandate reflects our ability to guide international companies as they carry out investment and growth initiatives in Québec.

Peikko has been present in North America since 2007, with a main office located in Québec City, Canada. The operations span from the West to the East Coast, with a sales and service network that reaches throughout Canada and the USA. The headcount, after the expansion into manufacturing, is some 50 employees. Peikko’s main business area in North America is DELTABEAM® Slim Floor Structures and Composite Beams, which allow the creation of open spaces in multi-storey buildings.
