

Louis Lafleur
, CHRP LawyerLouis Lafleur is a member of the Labour and Employment Law group. He focuses his practice on employment relationship management and the various challenges this represents for employers. He advises federally and provincially regulated organizations of all sizes, whether they are unionized or not. Employers in the private, public and para-public sectors consult him on a variety of issues related to employment law and labour relations. In this regard, he provides his clients with insightful strategic advice on the management and organization of their workforce. He regularly represents employers before arbitration tribunals, the Administrative Labour Tribunal and the ordinary courts.
Louis is also a member of the Construction and Infrastructure group, where he focuses on issues related to health and safety on construction sites, and compliance with standards imposed by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec and the Commission de la construction du Québec.

Employment litigation
Louis frequently acts in employment-related litigations, whether before the Administrative Labour Tribunal or in grievance arbitrations. He also represents employers before the ordinary courts, particularly in matters involving the application of non-compete and non-solicitation clauses.
Collective agreements
He helps employers interpret, apply and negotiate collective agreements. He advises clients on managing labour disputes and pressure tactics, including in strike and lock-out situations.
Disciplinary and administrative measures
Louis assists employers in managing employment-related disciplinary and administrative measures, including handling internal investigations and drafting sanctions, if warranted.
Privacy
He provides advice to employers on issues related to privacy and the protection of personal information in the workplace.
Employment-related policies and drafting contracts
Louis regularly drafts employment or service contracts as well as employment-related policies, particularly as regards the protection of personal information and privacy, confidentiality and the use of technologies at work, teleworking and performance management, drugs and alcohol, workplace health and safety, and psychological harassment and sexual violence in the workplace.
Construction
Construction industry clients call on him for advice on the various regulatory aspects of the industry and on issues related to occupational health and safety, including penal offences.
