The Langlois lawyers team represents natural gas suppliers in relation to development mandates or litigation cases, in which our clients benefit from team members’ thorough knowledge in this field. Langlois acts for plaintiffs and defendants, in contract and commercial cases. We therefore have special expertise that enables us to represent clients effectively in the courts.
The experience we have acquired means that we are able to identify and improve some of the standard clauses in our clients’ natural gas supply master agreements (short and long form), which were initially based on the common law that applies in western Canadian provinces. This puts us in a unique position to advise our clients on a preventive basis and to propose contracts that are consistent with Quebec law, thus enabling them to avoid going to court, whenever possible.
