Langlois is a proud sponsor of the 22nd edition of the National Class Action Conference, organized by the Barreau du Québec (Québec Bar Association), which will be held on December 3 and 4 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
Our colleague and partner Vincent de l’Étoile will take part in a panel entitled Boîte à outils de la défense : les approches créatives pour réduire ou annuler les actions collectives post-autorisation (Defense Toolbox: Creative Approaches to Reducing or Dismissing Class Actions Post-authorization). The discussion will focus on strategies used to limit, structure, cancel or dismiss a class action after it is authorized. It will also provide an overview of proven tactics and common pitfalls for defendants facing a class action.
The event will bring together nearly 50 speakers and moderators from Canada, the United States and Europe. It is the largest professional development activity in this field in Canada.
