Étienne Lacoursière practises commercial and corporate law in the Business Law group. He provides strategic and business advice to clients in a variety of sectors. Étienne guides and supports multidisciplinary teams in complex matters. He advises on a wide range of legal questions, has a broad understanding of organizational issues and recommends concrete solutions for his clients and their partners. Étienne negotiates and drafts commercial agreements of all kinds.

Prior to joining the firm, Étienne worked with a leading national firm and, for over a decade, held a number of positions, including Director of Legal Affairs, at a Montréal-based multinational food company. Through his experience in both private practice and corporate settings, he has acquired diverse knowledge and expertise and deepened his business acumen. Prior to studying law, Étienne earned a degree in business administration at École des Hautes Études Commerciales in Montréal.

Having worked in Québec and served American clients for many years, he is at ease advising his clients in both English and French.

Community involvement 

  • Throughout the years, Étienne has taken part in various fundraising campaigns and sporting events to raise money for different charities, including Centraide United Way, the Grand défi Pierre Lavoie, the winter triathlon of the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, Movember, Hockey aide les sans-abri, the Walk to Cure Diabetes of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Pedal for Kids of The Montréal Children's Hospital Foundation.
