Biometrics in use – how to stay on the right side

November 13th, 2024

Langlois was a proud sponsor of the CBA Privacy and Access Law Conference, presented by the Canadian Bar Association’s Privacy and Access Law Section, held in Ottawa on November 7-8, 2024.

Our colleague and partner, Caroline Deschênes, moderated a panel entitled Biometrics in use – how to stay on the right side. The panel looked at recent regulatory and business developments relating to biometrics, including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada’s draft biometrics guidance, recent decisions, and how organizations are navigating this complex world to protect consumers and business interests while respecting privacy obligations.
