On November 6, our colleagues and partners Marie-Douce Huard, Nathalie Boulanger and Jean Patrick Dallaire will participate in the Strategic Days on Construction Challenges, presented by Open Forum Ouvert.
Marie-Douce and Nathalie will participate in a panel with Patrick Lambert and Nathalie Prince (BFL Canada) entitled Assurances et cautionnements : entre le mythe et la réalité (Insurance and Surety Bonds: Between Myth and Reality). The discussion will draw on their experience with insurance products used for construction sites and the pros and cons of contract surety bonds.
Jean Patrick will give a presentation with Anik Pierre-Louis (EBC Inc.) entitled Aux bons différends les bons remèdes! (The Right Remedies for the Right Disputes!) They will discuss important factors to consider when drafting modern contractual clauses related to dispute resolution, including escalation mechanisms and arbitration clauses.
