Thomas Stelmazuk-Côté

Thomas Stelmazuk-Côté focuses his practice on civil and commercial litigation. He represents clients in a variety of civil and administrative proceedings, particularly in contractual disputes and product liability and public law matters. He is frequently involved in extraordinary remedies such as injunctions and Anton Piller orders and plays a part in various types of internal investigations. He also has experience in the area of language law.
Appreciated for his strong team work and collaborative approach, Thomas is regularly involved in complex and large-scale litigation. He frequently assists clients in non-litigious files and advises them on regulatory matters, risk management and compliance in several spheres of activity, including technology, social media and health. He also conducts various types of internal investigations, particularly those involving psychological harassment and discrimination, where his ability to listen and his pragmatic approach are major assets for his clients.
Since he began practising, Thomas has helped draft a number of articles on a variety of subjects, and has moderated conferences and training sessions for companies on language law compliance issues.
A member of the firm since 2019, Thomas is involved in the community through initiatives aimed at helping those in need, particularly annual fundraising drives for Québec food banks. During his law studies, Thomas interned at a community organization working to make family justice more accessible by promoting women’s autonomy and gender equality.
