    Private International Law

    Private international law applies to legal relationships with an international or interprovincial dimension. It often yields complex legal issues involving international conventions, statutory law, civil law and common law, amongst others.

    Our team has leading-edge expertise in litigation and arbitration dealing with private international law issues including territorial jurisdiction, forum conveniens, conflicts of laws, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and international arbitral awards.

    Our lawyers have also acted in respect of the issuance an execution of rogatory commissions, both in Québec and abroad, including the management of objections under domestic and foreign law and the compliance of foreign rogatory commissions with Québec law.

    We also advise and represent clients in transactions involving interprovincial, cross-border or international elements.
