William D. Hart quoted in Les Affaires magazine concerning business acquisitions

William D. Hart, a partner in corporate and commercial law at Langlois and head of the firm’s France-Quebec practice group, was recently quoted in an article entitled “Businesses for Sale: The French to the Rescue” (Absence de repreneur : les Français à la rescousse), in Les Affaires magazine.

“The absence of a new local generation to take over Quebec’s small and medium sized family businesses represents a real opportunity for purchasers from outside Canada, most notably from France. […] He stated that many business owners in Quebec prefer to sell to a French buyer rather than to an American because of the language, of course, but mainly because the French generally maintain jobs in Quebec.”
