Five new talents choose Langlois
Langlois continues its growth in Montréal. Marie-Claude de Grandpré, Frédérique Duchesne, Aurélie Figuet and Élise Théorêt have joined the litigation group while lawyer and trademark agent Yann Canneva has joined the business law group.
Yann Canneva is a lawyer and trademark agent. He handles various intellectual property matters including managing trademark, industrial design and copyright portfolios and the registration of such rights. He is specialized in implementing strategies for the acquisition, protection and defence of intellectual property rights, as well as in IP litigation. Yann Canneva is managing Langlois’ trademark portfolio.
Marie-Claude de Grandpré works in civil and commercial litigation, particularly in construction and insurance law, namely in civil and professional liability. She is an excellent litigator before the courts yet, when circumstances permit, she will not hesitate to advise her clients to consider alternative dispute resolution methods.
Frédérique Duchesne is a lawyer in the litigation group. Her practice covers banking law, insolvency and financial restructuring as well as tax litigation. More specifically, her banking law practice involves advising both financial institutions and public and private companies with respect to the enforcement of security and personal guarantees, the negotiation of standstill agreements and various insolvency-related issues.
Aurélie Figuet practises in civil and commercial litigation, more specifically in the fields of civil and professional liability, as well as insurance and construction law. Aurélie represents professionals, insurance companies, contractors and various stakeholders in the construction industry before all levels of Quebec’s civil courts.
Élise Théoret is a lawyer in the litigation group. Her practice is diverse and incorporates civil, penal and administrative litigation, as well as advice on environmental law issues. Élise is mainly involved in litigation matters in environmental law for private and parapublic companies. She represents clients in civil actions for contaminated lands, historical migration of contaminants, hidden defects, neighbourhood disturbances, injunctions and claims for damages.
