Pascal Archambault and Marie-Pier Desmeules to review amendments to privacy legislation

On December 9, Langlois lawyers Pascal Archambault and Marie-Pier Desmeules will present an information session on the proposed amendments to the Canadian Consumer Privacy Protection Act (Bill C-11) and its impact on employers. They will also discuss the implications in relation to Bill 64, which seeks to reform privacy legislation in Québec.The videoconference is organized by the Conseil du patronat du Québec (CPQ, Quebec Employers’ Council) and will be chaired by lawyer Karolyne Gagnon, the CPQ’s Vice-President, Labour and legal affairs.

Education Law – Review of the 2019 Case Law

Lawyers Yann Bernard, Catherine Galardo, Jonathan Garneau, Pierre-Olivier Lessard, René Paquette, Geneviève Plante and Paule Veilleux presented a webinar on November 20, in which they reviewed this year’s case law and legislation to an audience of education professionals. The Web conference aimed to raise awareness in terms of common trends and key factors affecting the field during 2020, including a reform of the education system, the impact of COVID-19 and major court rulings.
