LKD in Sochi

Yann Bernard, partner at the Montréal office, has the honour once again of acting as ombudsman for the Canadian Team of the Winter Olympics currently taking place in Sochi, Russia.

As part of his duties, Yann offers legal support to the team regarding any issues that may arise with the athletes, trainers or support staff of the Canadian delegation. 

More specifically, Yann may also be called to settle disputes before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), answer any questions regarding anti-doping, as well as implement rules specific to each discipline present at the Olympic Games. 

Being his third mandate as ombudsman to the Canadian team, Yann was in fact a fencer himself, member of the national team once. He obtained his very first mandate during the 15^th Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in July 2007.
