Langlois welcomes litigator Catherine Boilard, insolvency and restructuring

July 2nd, 2026

Driven by our ongoing commitment to attracting top talent to support our growth and strengthen our strategic areas of expertise, we are proud to announce that Catherine Boilard has joined our litigation group.

A litigator, Catherine focuses her practice primarily on bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring matters, as well as banking law. Her practice covers a broad range of mandates, including civil liability, contractual disputes, shareholder disputes and the enforcement of security interests. She also acts in extraordinary remedies, including injunctions, safeguard orders and seizures.

Building on a strong professional background, Catherine has developed expertise in matters involving the appointment of a provisional administrator under the Act respecting the regulation of the financial sector. She has appeared on numerous occasions before the Court of Appeal, the Superior Court, the Court of Québec and the Financial Markets Administrative Tribunal in proceedings under the Securities Act and the Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services. She spent nearly eight years as counsel with the Legal Affairs Division of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), where she practised administrative and civil litigation, as well as penal law. This experience has given her in-depth knowledge of the financial sector and its related regulatory issues, which she now brings to the service of her clients.

Welcome to Langlois, Catherine!
