Langlois Kronström Desjardins teams up with leading U.S. law firm to win important ICC arbitration

Recently, the International Chamber of Commerce International Court of Arbitration awarded millions of dollars in damages, fees, costs and interest to our client for its breach of contract and good faith claims related to a long-term metal offtake agreement. In coming to its award of legal fees and costs in favour of claimant, the Tribunal commented that claimant’s lawyers acted reasonably and effectively in their conduct of the arbitration, with appropriate and efficient staffing and the presentation of evidence that was relevant and not duplicative.

The successful claimant was represented by an integrated team from a leading U.S. law firm and by Dimitri Maniatis of Langlois Kronström Desjardins (LKD) in Montréal. Dimitri is a member of LKD’s advocacy team with specialized expertise in international and domestic arbitration in various industries, including mining and transportation.
