New Image, New Address: Change is in the Air for Langlois Kronström Desjardins

Montréal, October 27, 2015 – Some big changes are on the horizon for law firm Langlois Kronström Desjardins (LKD). Effective January 1, 2016, LKD will adopt a new brand image that is both forward-looking and evocative of its distinguished past. On that date the firm will become Langlois Lawyers, LLP, whose mission will remain providing cutting-edge legal solutions of the highest quality to its clients.

“We are about to change more than just our brand image. Our new name is a true reflection of our vision and of who we are. It evokes our ongoing and unwavering commitment to our younger generation of lawyers, and invokes the profound and time-honoured values instilled in us by one of our founders, Raynold Langlois”, explained Jean-François Gagnon, the firm’s managing partner.

In addition to changing its name, the firm has decided to take on a completely new visual identity, with a new logo and hue. For more than ten years the firm’s brand has featured a bright orange square, but Langlois Lawyers’ new logo will be even more modern and striking. At once elegant and bold, the new logo’s design consists of a monogram depicting the letter “L”, whose vertical, flanked by a series of horizontal lines, represents a tree-trunk, positioning the firm as a strong, sturdy tree with multiple branches. “Our logo is an artistic rendering of who we are”, added Jean-François Gagnon.

Following the evolution of the market

The adoption of a new brand image comes at a time when the legal services market is changing. The firm’s decision to redefine itself was made in order to keep pace with that change and with the evolving expectations of its clientele. LKD is determined to remain at the forefront of its market, without relinquishing the values of thoroughness and uncompromising excellence for which it has become known.

Our new location will provide us with the space we need to keep up with our growth, and help us better serve our clients”, stated Jean-François Gagnon.
