We are pleased to announce that Marie-Douce Huard has joined the firm as a partner. Marie-Douce specializes in construction and insurance law, more specifically in files related to contracts, bids and calls for tenders.
“We are thrilled to welcome Marie-Douce who brings a wealth of experience to the team. Her reputation in construction and insurance law is very well established. We are pleased to have a partner of such quality,” says Jean-François Gagnon, Chief Executive Officer.
Over the years, she has successfully pleaded before various civil courts and administrative bodies and collaborated on major cases, including construction arbitrations in the context of proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act. She has also represented clients in the process of alternative dispute resolution. Based on her extensive experience, she is regularly invited to speak at events related to construction law.
Marie-Douce Huard is distinguished by her involvement in the legal community. She has been a member of several boards of directors, including the Association des constructeurs de routes et grands travaux du Québec, of which she is still a member.
