Veillette, Antoine - Langlois lawyers

Antoine Veillette is a lawyer practising at Langlois Lawyers’ Québec City office. He focuses mainly on matters involving civil and commercial litigation, such as consumer law, environmental law and product liability.

Antoine provides counsel in cases involving complex litigation, which are often document-intensive. When it comes to resolving disputes, his clients benefit from his considerable experience, his outstanding ability to summarize and a pragmatic approach.

Antoine’s practice covers all aspects of civil and commercial litigation, which include settlement negotiations to avoid litigation and appearing before various provincial courts. Renowned for his rigorous analytical skills and copywriting proficiency, he his regularly called upon to prepare procedural acts and legal notices.

Prior to joining the firm as a student in the summer of 2017 and completing his articling there, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs and International Relations. This allowed him to gain knowledge of international law, especially regarding international trade.

Antoine carries on his practice in both English and French.

Representative Work

Victory for Langlois in an environmental class action

Langlois Lawyers successfully represented their client, Compagnie d’Arrimage de Québec (“CAQ”), a Quebec City company specializing in handling solid bulk cargo, in a class action regarding neighbourhood disturbances related to dust. A group of Limoilou residents was suing the CAQ and the Québec Port Authority for more than $350 million in compensatory and punitive damages, as well as a permanent injunction to change their operations.

Representing Agatha Boutique, an online retailer of children’s and baby products, in its proposal and corporate reorganization under the Business Corporations Act (Quebec) and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
