Congratulations to the two winners of the 2021 Langlois Prize Law student essay contest

Langlois is pleased to announce, in conjunction with the Canadian Bar Association Business Law Section, the two winners of the 2021 Langlois Prize law student essay contest on a topic related to business law.

Tamya Chowdhury for her English-language paper entitled Lessons from Uber v Heller: the case for UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration Reform. Tamya received her JD with Distinction from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in April 2021.

Sina Faraji for his French-language paper entitled “L’interprétation des contrats en droit des affaires et la règle du texte clair : une confusion jurisprudentielle (available only in French).  Sina is a recent graduate of the Université de Montréal Law Faculty where he earned a Bachelor of Civil Law (LL.B.) and a Juris Doctor of Common Law (J.D.).

The award was established by the The CBA Business Law Section to promote and reward interest in business law in Canadian law schools and to promote participation by Canadian law students. For further details, click here.
