Christiane Brizard, partner and mediator, chooses Langlois

We are pleased to welcome new partner and accredited mediator, Christiane Brizard, to the Langlois Lawyers Montréal office. Christiane practices mainly in the area of governance, ethics and professional law.

Her extensive experience in governance, professional law and ethics, her detailed knowledge of professional orders and her arbitration and mediation approach to resolve disputes are major assets for our firm,” indicated Jean-François Gagnon, chief executive officer of Langlois.

For several years, she was secretary, vice-president of legal affairs and strategic advisor for the Ordre des comptables agréés and the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés. In this capacity, she advised senior management on ethical, systemic, legal and governance issues.

Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1981, Christine has in-depth knowledge of Quebec’s professional system and the framework regulating financial market stakeholders, as well as having taken part in several parliamentary committees. She has been a key player in the effort to unify accounting professions.
