The Association of Certified Forensic Investigators of Canada (ACFI) will hold its 24th annual Fraud Conference October 3-5, 2022.
A panellist at this year’s conference, our colleague and partner Danielle Ferron, Ad. E., will co-present “Breaking the Scam: Cross-Border Investigation & Recovery” on October 3rd.
This panel will discuss strategies for the tracing and recovery of assets in fraud recovery cases including the particular hurdles faced in cross-border fraud cases. The panel will also explore the benefits of seeking the appointment of an investigatory or insolvency receiver in conjunction with a Mareva freezing order to assist in the process of identifying and recovering assets.
