We are pleased to announce that Isabelle Montpetit has joined our Labour and Employment Law group. A seasoned litigator with more than 25 years of experience, Isabelle brings extensive expertise in occupational health and safety matters, along with deep understanding of the operational realities employers navigate every day.
Isabelle has a comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety matters. Her practice includes occupational injury management, prevention and compliance, as well as cost allocation. She also advises clients on a wide range of labour and employment matters, including disability and absence management, disciplinary and administrative matters, psychological harassment and pay equity. Isabelle also provides strategic guidance on matters before the CNESST and Québec’s Tribunal administratif du travail, whether by assessing complex situations, developing legal strategies or by representing clients in contested proceedings.
Before joining Langlois, Isabelle spent nearly two decades with the Corporation des concessionnaires d’automobiles du Québec (CCAQ), an association representing Québec’s car dealerships. There, she notably led the groups prevention mutual, which served close to 1,000 members, advising their member-employers on the development and implementation of prevention action plans and on the management and control of claim-related costs. This experience gave her first-hand insight into the operational and financial realities employers face, which she now draws on to develop legal and preventive strategies tailored to her clients’ needs.
Throughout her career, Isabelle has also led teams of professionals, contributed to the development of legal and organizational strategies, and advised a substantial portfolio of employers. This combination of legal, managerial and hands-on experience allows her to approach matters from a strategic, pragmatic and solutions-focused perspective.
