From articling students to lawyers: two new lawyers join Langlois

July 27th, 2026

After articling at Langlois and being called to the Québec Bar, two new colleagues are officially beginning their legal careers within our firm.

During their time with the firm, they demonstrated remarkable passion, curiosity and commitment, gaining rich and varied hands-on experience. Along the way, they built strong and lasting relationships with their mentors and colleagues, meaningful connections that will continue to guide them throughout their careers.

Congratulations and warm welcome to:

Marie Océane Jacques

Marie Océane practises business law, focusing on various aspects of corporate and commercial law, with a particular interest in mergers and acquisitions, and commercial agreements. She supports transaction teams by helping prepare the legal documentation required to bring deals to completion. Thoughtful and detail-oriented, she approaches each mandate with sound judgment, strong analytical skills and a clear, structured writing style.

Louis-David Pinel

Louis-David is building a practice focused on public law and civil and commercial litigation. He works with both private and public sector clients on a wide range of matters. Drawing on his strong legal analysis skills, he contributes to the drafting of legal opinions and the preparation of litigation files. Curious, adaptable and proactive, he brings a measured, collaborative and client-focused approach to his work, guided by his clients’ objectives.

Their arrival brings renewed energy to our collaborative culture and adds to the strength and momentum of Langlois. We are proud that they have chosen to begin their careers with us.
