Justine Brien is a member of the Civil and Commercial Litigation group at the Montréal office. She represents and advises organizations and companies in an array of litigation matters, including class actions involving consumer and banking law, product liability, and access to information.

Justine represents her clients before various Québec courts and administrative tribunals. She regularly provides advice on issues involving consumer protection law, public contract integrity requirements and French language standards.

She practises law in French and English.

Justine has represented various clients, including:

  • manufacturers in connection with various legal actions involving issues related to the conception, design and performance of a variety of goods, as well as the application of legal and contractual warranties;
  • financial institutions in fraudulent bank account use and illegal fund transfer cases;
  • air carriers in class actions and other judicial disputes involving their pricing policies and conditions of transportation, damages claims, as well as the compliance of their business practices with the applicable legal and regulatory framework;
  • a telecommunication company in various class actions, civil actions in relation to consumer law issues, and other matters pertaining to its dealings with its clientele, business partners and other industry stakeholders.
