Langlois advises Chiorino on its Canadian expansion

August 24th, 2026

Langlois is proud to have advised Chiorino S.p.A., a leading Italian manufacturer and distributor of industrial conveyor belts, on its acquisition of Celmire Inc., a company based in Drummondville, Québec, specializing in the fabrication and distribution of custom-made conveyor and power transmission belts.

This strategic acquisition strengthens Chiorino’s presence in Canada and supports its broader growth strategy in North America. The cross-border nature of the deal required close coordination across a range of legal and commercial considerations.

Langlois supported Chiorino throughout the acquisition with a multidisciplinary team bringing together expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, tax, and labour and employment law. This transaction showcases our position as a trusted business partner to international companies investing and expanding in Québec, and underscores the value of our integrated, on-the-ground support.

Led by partner Félix Bernard, the Langlois team included Charles Lambert, Andréa Nicolò, Andrea Stevanovik and Louis Lafleur, as well as paralegals Catherine Vaillancourt and Vanessa Jimenez.
