On May 27, 2016, Quebec Superior Court Justice Martin Bureau the dismissed a motion for a provisional injunction and a safeguard order seeking to suspend work on the reconstruction of the downtown core of the City of Lac-Mégantic. The motion was filed by the lowest bidder, construction company Sintra, whose bid had been rejected by the City. We represented the City in this high-stakes matter involving important issues for its residents adversely affected by the tragic train derailment and ensuing explosion on July 6, 2013.
