Sylvain Toupin focuses his practice exclusively on labour and employment law. He assists clients in strategic labour relations planning and collective agreement negotiations, and drafts employment contracts and non-competition clauses. He is also involved in injunction cases, essential services agreements and advises on workplace health and safety matters. Sylvain represents employers in a range of sectors, including ambulance services, the food industry, distribution centres and dental and veterinary medicine. His career highlights include involvement in various provincial negotiations with paramedic unions. He pleads regularly before administrative tribunals and civil courts. Sylvain’s clients appreciate his dedication, his openness, and his pragmatic, structured and strategic approach.

In parallel with his practice, Sylvain has taught labour and employment negotiation to management students at the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal (HEC). He has also participated in seminars on workplace health and safety in collaboration with Lorman Education Services. Sylvain’s articles on labour relations have been published in a wide range of specialized journals.
