Carole Samuel is a partner in Langlois Lawyers’ Montréal office. Her main areas of practice are insurance law and civil and professional liability litigation. She has a solid track record in a wide range of insurance industry litigation cases.

Carole advises and defends directors and officers of companies and non-profit organizations, as well as construction professionals and clients from a wide range of business sectors. She also has significant expertise and in-depth knowledge regarding personal injury liability.

Carole has considerable experience in employment law litigation, particularly in matters of wrongful dismissal, injunctive relief, non-competition and non-solicitation clauses, directors’ and officers’ liability, fiduciary duties, confidentiality obligations, and harassment and discrimination in the workplace.

During her 30-year career, Carole has managed complex cases and has regularly pleaded before both common law and administrative tribunals. She has been involved in class actions involving major claims and has participated in landmark trials before various judicial bodies.

Since 2007, she has been a member of the Disciplinary Council of the Quebec Bar. In this role, she is called upon to render decisions on disciplinary complaints lodged against members of the profession.

Prior to joining Langlois Lawyers, Carole worked for an international firm specializing in insurance law.
