Sylvain Toupin
PartnerSylvain Toupin focuses his practice exclusively on labour and employment law. He assists clients in strategic labour relations planning and collective bargaining, and drafts employment contracts and non-compete clauses. He also handles injunction, essential services, and workplace health and safety cases. He pleads regularly before administrative tribunals and civil courts.
Sylvain represents employers in a range of sectors, including ambulance services, the food industry, distribution centres and dental clinics.
His career highlights include involvement in various provincial negotiations with paramedic unions. Sylvain’s clients appreciate his dedication, his openness, and his pragmatic, structured and strategic approach.
In parallel with his practice, Sylvain has taught labour and employment negotiation to management students at the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal (HEC). He has also participated in seminars on workplace health and safety in collaboration with Lorman Education Services. He is regularly invited by various employers to speak and provide training on labour and employment law. Sylvain’s articles on labour relations have been published in a wide range of specialized journals.
