Félix Simoneau
LawyerFélix Simoneau focuses his practice on civil and commercial litigation. His wide-ranging interests lead him to take on a wide range of cases in areas like bankruptcy and insolvency as well as in banking and construction law. He also assists experienced lawyers in various matters, including drafting proceedings and legal opinions as well as appearing before the courts.
His passion for the law, keen interest in public speaking and noted drafting skills drive his intellectual rigour and enable him to develop innovative strategies. With a client-focused approach developed early in his university career while interning for a boutique law firm in the Montréal area, Félix quickly put his theoretical knowledge into practice and continues to offer solutions tailored to his clients’ needs.
In parallel with his Bar School studies, Félix was a teaching assistant at the Université de Sherbrooke, sharing his expertise in documentary research with first-year law students. His writing skills earned him an award from Éditions Yvon Blais for a legal essay on constitutional issues surrounding supervised injection sites. His passion for oratory has distinguished him in moot court competitions, where he was a finalist in the national Law Games moot court before the Honourable Michelle O’Bonsawin, Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. Félix also participated in the Laskin moot court in Canadian administrative and constitutional law.
A former student-athlete in football at the University level, Félix was awarded the Université de Sherbrooke Faculty of Law Scholarship, given to students for outstanding involvement in university life. His academic excellence also earned him a place on the Université de Sherbrooke Law Faculty Dean’s List every year of his studies.
