Lana Rackovic is a lawyer in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. She advises and represents organizations and businesses in an array of civil and commercial disputes relating to administrative and constitutional law, access to information, banking law, competition law, consumer protection, as well as in class actions, at trial and on appeal.

Lana regularly advises clients on the compliance of their activities, operations and business practices. She also helps defend businesses and individuals in administrative investigations.

Before joining the firm, Lana worked for the federal government and as a research assistant for the Peter MacKell Chair on Federalism at McGill University.

She practises law in English and French, and also speaks fluent Serbian.

As part of her practice, Lana:

  • advises a financial institution on the compliance of orders issued in connection with extraordinary remedies;
  • advises and represents a technology and social media company in connection with civil liability suits and extraordinary orders;
  • represents clients and businesses in connection with administrative investigations by regulatory authorities;
  • represents financial institutions and corporations in class actions involving competition and consumer law;
  • represents a telecommunications business in a lawsuit brought by a competitor;
  • participated in representing associations of judges before their respective compensation committees;
  • represents an administrative judge in an investigation before the Conseil de la justice administrative;
  • advises telecommunications enterprises in regulatory matters and on the compliance of their commercial practices;
  • participated in representing a group of judges regarding the constitutionality of article 35 C.C.P. before the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
