Serge Marc Racine is a member of the Corporate and Commercial Law group and is jointly in charge of the firm’s Tax group. He holds his chartered administrator’s designation from the Chartered Administrators Order of Québec. He leverages his extensive tax knowledge in providing planning, reorganization and representation services to clients consisting primarily of senior executives of SMEs and large companies, particularly in the mining sector.

As part of his tax planning services, he advises clients and handles the incorporation, in particular, of their estate (or testamentary) and living (or inter vivos) trusts, and entities in various legal forms, such as business corporations and partnerships. He advises and represents his clients before administrative bodies (assessments and objections) and the courts.

Over the past 35 years, Serge Marc has also gained considerable experience coordinating all aspects of Canadian and international commercial transactions, including asset and share acquisitions.

He began his career with the Tax Law Services Portfolio at the Justice Department of Canada. He subsequently worked for one of Canada’s largest accounting firms before starting his law practice with boutique firms.
