Charles Laplante

Charles Laplante works at the intersection of law, technology, and management science. He helps implement the firm’s innovation and transformation strategy. Drawing on design thinking and his expertise as a cross-disciplinary translator, legal designer, and rapid prototyper, he creates customized solutions that are tailored to stakeholders’ needs and grounded in legal practice, working closely with legal, business and technical teams.

Charles’ career spans an exceptional variety of legal fields, practice models, and client types. His versatility enriches our approach to complex legal and business challenges. In his hands, client needs are transformed into functional, concrete, and forward-thinking solutions.

Before joining our team, Charles practised at a major regional law firm, where he established and led its Knowledge & Innovation function. His contributions included setting up a legislative monitoring system and launching the firm’s AI-driven digital transformation. He also served as an external consultant on innovation management and organizational transformation.

As a student, he received a Faculty of Law merit scholarship and earned several awards in legislative drafting, financial market simulation, international diplomacy, and business case competitions.
