Jeanne Pérès practises in Aboriginal law and in labour and employment law. Her hybrid practice enables her to explore a variety of complex legal issues in both labour relations and Aboriginal law. She assists clients under federal or provincial jurisdiction, in unionized or non-unionized environments, before the courts, administrative agencies, and grievance arbitrators.

In her Aboriginal law practice, she is particularly interested in issues of governance, land and environmental protection, socio-economic development, and the recognition of treaty and Aboriginal rights.

In labour and employment law, she handles matters related to labour standards, the interpretation and application of collective agreements and employment contracts, human rights and freedoms, and workplace harassment.

Jeanne received several awards throughout her university studies. She was awarded the Joseph-Armand Bombardier Graduate Fellowship (SSHRC) and the O’Brien Graduate Fellowship for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism for the completion of her Master of Laws degree, which focused on the protection of the spiritual connection to the land of a First Nation.

She practises law in French and English.
