Cassiopée Mailloux-Boucher
LawyerCassiopée Mailloux-Boucher focuses her practice on civil and commercial litigation, banking law, corporate governance, restructuring and class actions. She handles complex cases involving contractual, financial and regulatory matters. She has represented corporations, financial institutions and public organizations before all levels of Québec courts.
Before embarking on her legal career, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacology, a Master's degree in health law, as well as a Master 2 degree in law and governance of healthcare establishments in France. Her scientific training equipped her with exceptional analytical rigour and the ability to confidently address technical and highly specialized matters. She has a remarkable talent for breaking down complex issues to provide her clients with clear, strategic advice tailored to their needs.
Keenly aware of the importance of community engagement, Cassiopée is also involved in various pro bono and community projects.
- Represented an energy sector company in litigations relating to major infrastructure development and associated contractual obligations.
- Participated in corporate governance mandates, including proxy battles and internal investigations arising from disputes between boards of directors and management teams.
- Assisted businesses facing allegations related to financial markets, especially in areas of regulatory compliance, governance and risk management.
- Represented corporations targeted by class actions filed under the Consumer Protection Act and the Competition Act.
- Represented insolvent corporations, particularly from the pharmaceutical and food sectors, in restructuring pleadings governed by the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act.
- Defended financial institutions in various banking matters, including contract litigation and legal liability claims, as well as in actions involving securities and securitization issues.
- Represented creditors, private lenders and financial institutions in legal actions, particularly concerning the enforcement of security interests and the realization of guarantees.
