Béatrice Petitclerc is a member of our Labour and Employment Law and Litigation groups, where she focuses her practice on Aboriginal law. Her broad interests lead her to intervene in a wide range of files in both provincial and federal regulatory jurisdictions. She assists a varied clientele in managing their legal issues, notably in matters of human rights, governance and civil remedies.

Prior to joining our team, Béatrice practised at a boutique firm specializing in Aboriginal law and affairs, as well as governance, where she participated in complex mandates involving sensitive political and legal issues. She also clerked for Associate Chief Justice Martine St-Louis and the Honourable Danielle Ferron at the Federal Court, which allowed her to develop analytical rigour and an excellent knowledge of judicial operations at the national level. In addition to her law degree, Béatrice holds a master’s degree in business administration and a certificate in industrial relations, which enriches her multidisciplinary approach.

Highly involved during her university studies, she was co-representative of her Law-MBA program cohort and a member of the Aboriginal Law Committee at the Université de Sherbrooke, while also contributing to the creation of a graduate-level course on Indigenous issues and perspectives in health law and policy in Québec. She has also participated in the Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Moot, an event that focuses on Indigenous law and the search for collaborative solutions.

She practices law in both French and English.
