

Geneviève Paradis
ParalegalGeneviève Paradis is a litigation paralegal. She has extensive experience in many fields, including commercial law, construction law, insurance law, product liability and life sciences, and has worked on multi-jurisdictional class actions. Her career path, spanning both law firms and the legal departments of international companies, has enabled her to diversify her skill set. She now handles complex cases with ease from two different perspectives.
Geneviève is highly experienced in drafting reports and proceedings, reviewing documents and evidence, and effectively coordinating with the various parties involved in a case. Time and again, Geneviève has put her expertise to good use, playing key roles in numerous cases and projects, from one-off mandates to the complete management of client portfolios, as well as the various stages of litigation through to trial. Moreover, she has implemented rigorous processes to ensure the preservation of evidence within companies and overseen document gathering by coordinating internal and external teams.
Geneviève has been dedicated to fostering the next generation of paralegals, delivering presentations at multiple colleges to introduce young people to the paralegal profession.
Geneviève has been involved in:
- A $2.75 billion class action in Federal Court concerning an alleged agreement to fix generic drug prices in violation of the Competition Act
- A multi-jurisdictional class action against several pharmaceutical companies that manufactured, marketed, distributed and/or sold prescription opioids, for damages amounting to several billion dollars
- A provincial class action in which parents sought partial reimbursement of tuition fees or compensation following school closures caused by COVID-19
- An injunction regarding dams erected to prevent moose hunting on ancestral lands in La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve
- Several construction law cases for a Québec university
- A provincial class action relating to the loss of personal information, the judgment of which defined the conditions for compensation in such cases
- Several disputes concerning product liability and breach of contractual obligations in Canada, the United States and London, on behalf of an international aeronautics company
