Etienne de Blois practises civil and commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He represents a diverse client base in complex matters and appears before a number of courts in the province. Over the course of his career, he also gained significant experience in insurance law, including both coverage and liability matters.

Diligent, organized, and responsive, Etienne supports his clients at every stage of their matter. He stands out for his ability to quickly identify the issues at stake, make complex legal concepts accessible, and propose clear, pragmatic strategies.

His commitment extends beyond his practice. An active member of the legal community, Etienne is vice-president of the board of directors of the Young Bar Association of Montréal. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and takes a keen interest in local, national, and international political affairs.

A former amateur boxer and sports enthusiast, Etienne has served as president of the Limoilou Pro-Am—a boxing club where he himself once competed—for nearly fifteen years. This long-standing commitment reflects his perseverance and his dedication to community life.

Professional liability

  • Represented a pre-purchase home inspector in an action alleging professional liability and carried the matter through trial, securing the plaintiff’s withdrawal of the claim during the hearing.

Construction law – Professional liability

  • Represented an engineering firm named in an action in warranty exceeding $900,000 in litigation involving, among others, an architecture firm, and obtained the dismissal of that claim against its client at the preliminary stage.

Civil litigation

  • Represented a state-owned enterprise in more than 80 contested matters before the Court of Québec and the Superior Court.
