Louise Berthelette is a paralegal in our Litigation group. She is involved in commercial, insurance and construction litigation. Currently, Louise specializes in debt collection, mortgage recovery and the enforcement of security interests in movable and immovable property. She works on behalf of various financial institutions.

As part of her work, Louise analyzes loan, guarantee and suretyship agreements and verifies the validity of collateral. She also examines titles and uses public government registries, including the Land Register of Québec and the Register of Personal and Movable Real Rights, to conduct searches and publications. She is also involved in drafting proceedings, including various notices, legal hypothecs and other legal documents.

Louise has over 43 years of experience as a paralegal and legal assistant in various areas of law, including banking, insurance, civil and matrimonial law, and litigation. She has worked for several prestigious firms in Montréal and elsewhere in Québec, where she developed deep expertise in debt collection, managing complex files and working with financial institutions and mortgage insurers. Louise is recognized for her professionalism, thoroughness and ability to keep clients informed at every stage of the mandates assigned to her.
