From articling students to lawyers: Langlois welcomes two new colleagues

June 18th, 2025

We are thrilled to welcome back to the firm two articling students who have recently been sworn in after successfully completing their articling for the Bar with Langlois: Zohra Alaoui and Emmanuelle Atongfor. Their energy, passion for the law, and commitment to providing high-quality service will be valuable assets to our team.

Zohra Alaoui – Civil and Commercial Litigation

Zohra Alaoui is both an engineer and a lawyer—a combination that allows her to approach legal issues with both technical depth and strategic insight. Strengthened by her multidisciplinary background and diverse experience in government, para-public organizations, as well as engineering consulting firms, she brings a nuanced perspective on legal issues in the public, regulatory, and technical fields. Zohra’s interests lie in litigation, public law, and infrastructure projects. Her ability to navigate legal and technical considerations with rigour enables her to contribute meaningfully to complex files, always keeping her clients’ operational realities in focus.

Emmanuelle Atongfor – Business Law

Emmanuelle’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial law as well as corporate governance. She supports organizations at various stages of their development, notably in mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and governance-related mandates. She is also involved in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, always with a rigorous, business-oriented approach. Known for her intellectual prowess and strong drafting skills, Emmanuelle is especially appreciated for providing clear, structured legal advice tailored to the complex issues her clients face.

We are proud that they have chosen to officially begin their legal careers with us and wish them much success.
