William D. Hart named president of the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie Française au Canada

The members of the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie Française au Canada (CCIFC) can now rely once again on the extensive experience of William D. Hart as the organization’s new president.

He previously served as the CCFIC’s president from 2004 to 2008.

Mr. Hart, a partner at Langlois Lawyers, practices corporate and commercial law and has actively worked with French businesses for many years. He is head of the firm’s France-Quebec Practice Group, which provides legal support adapted to the needs of French companies developing their activities in Quebec.

After obtaining an MBA from the École supérieure des Sciences économiques et commerciales (Essec) in France, and LL.B. and BCL law degrees from McGill University, Mr. Hart served for several years as Vice President and General Counsel of a major Quebec-based public company. This unique background has allowed him to better understand and advise French and Quebec companies of all sizes wishing to expand internationally.

Founded in 1886, the CCIFC is one of the key members of an international network comprising 115 French bilateral chambers of commerce in 85 countries. Headquartered in Montreal with offices in other locations in Canada and some 1,300 members, the CCIFC is a major actor in business relations between France and Canada.

We are confident that William will do an excellent job as President of the CCIFC and we wish him every success!
