Pierre-Luc Desgagné interviewed on Radio-Canada on the potential repercussions of the Comeau decision

Pierre-Luc Desgagné, a partner in the business law group at Langlois lawyers, was interviewed recently on the Ici Radio-Canada program Format libre, during which he discussed the potential impacts of the Supreme Court of Canada’s pending decision in the Comeau case on interprovincial trade, over and above the mere importation of alcohol, which is the focus of that case.

The interview follows the publication of an article analysing the Comeau case co-authored by Pierre-Luc and Sean Griffin, also a partner at the firm.

“This case does not appear to have attracted a lot of interest in Quebec, but the Supreme Court’s decision in Comeau could have significant consequences for the Canadian economic ecosystem and on the interventionist powers of the provinces in the economic sphere.”
