Langlois Clients Win in Shareholders’ Dispute Involving a Significant Monetary Stake

On October 22, 2013, the Court of Appeal of Québec rendered a judgment in favour of our clients in the context of a complex judicial saga between the shareholders of a family business operating mainly in the real estate sector.

The Court dismissed the myriad of remedies sought by the opposing party, which represented a monetary stake of over 100 million dollars.

The winning team acting for the clients since 2006 in first instance was comprised of Gerry Apostolatos, Stefan Chripounoff and David Drouin-Lê, with the assistance of Guy Turner. The case was then pleaded in the Court of Appeal of Quebec by Gerry Apostolatos and Stefan Chripounoff, with the assistance of Paul-Arthur Gendreau, David Drouin-Lê and Jessica Syms.
