On February 7th, Langlois lawyers took part in a workshop entitled “How will chains of blocks transform the law”, organized by the Institute for Information Technology and Societies at Université Laval, where lawyer and partner Jean-François De Rico, spoke on the impact of Blockchain on the law of evidence.
Blockchain has the potential to transform many areas of society, including the legal sector. Therefore, it is crucial for lawyers, notaries, judges and all jurists to engage with this disruptive technology and assess how it will affect all areas of the law.
By being able to evaluate the effects of chains of blocks, in both the courtroom and the firm, lawyers will make an essential contribution to society.
