Jessica Syms practices civil and commercial litigation at Langlois lawyers’ Montreal office. She represents clients from various industry sectors, including health care, as well as financial institutions.

She has extensive experience in real estate litigation as she acted for local, national and international taxpayers in contestations of property assessments involving a wide spectrum of properties (including single-use immovables). She also manages expropriation files and advises clients on litigious aspects of commercial leases.

Furthermore, Jessica represents enterprises and their officers and representatives involved in civil and statutory proceedings, including class actions, penal, administrative and regulatory investigations as well as proceedings seeking extraordinary remedies such as injunctions and Anton Piller orders.

Jessica is a certified mediator in civil, commercial and labour law matters, duly accredited by the Quebec Bar. In addition to acting as a mediator, she also represents clients in alternative dispute resolution processes, including arbitrations and mediations.
