Karine Presseault is a paralegal in the real estate law group of Langlois lawyers’ Montréal office.
Karine has extensive experience in acquisition and financing files as well as real estate development projects, particularly for shopping centres and retirement homes. She performs searches at the Land Register of Québec, the Public Register of Real and Immovable Mining Rights of Québec and the Public Land Register. She also verifies information on matters such as protected agricultural territory, land surveys, taxation, property evaluation and municipal zoning bylaws, with public and municipal authorities. In addition, she helps lawyers with due diligence searches, carries out off-title searches and drafts related reports.
She assists in real estate title examinations and in drafting related reports. She also prepares documents for registration in the Land Register of Québec, and is involved in negotiating, reviewing and acquiring title insurance.
Karine has over 15 years’ experience in real estate law. Before joining Langlois lawyers, she worked for a title insurance company and held a position with a major law firm.

In 2018 Langlois was the law firm of choice of several major organizations for their mergers & acquisitions-related transactions. The transactional group at Langlois assisted important groups of businesses as well as foreign multinationals with several major projects, including strategic acquisitions, financings and equity investments. It was an interesting and active year rich in challenges for Langlois’ transactional group!
