Jévanie Pellerin is a paralegal in the litigation group at Langlois Lawyers’ Quebec City office.

Jévanie assists in preparing for trials, performs case-law, legislative and doctrinal research, prepares research reports, drafts and amends proceedings, and performs searches in various federal and provincial registries. She also has a thorough understanding of small-claims procedures.

Jévanie joined the firm as an assistant working on the pyrrhotite litigation file. Since being promoted to the position of paralegal she has continued to work on certain aspects of that file.

Immediately prior to joining Langlois Lawyers, Jévanie worked as a life & health insurance representative. She began her career at the Quebec Department of Justice in the office of the Attorney General. Among her other duties there, she performed a wide variety of searches in provincial, federal and international databases.

Lawsuit involving two de facto spouses, one of whom challenged the constitutionality of the rights conferred on de facto spouses by the Civil Code of Québec. The Attorney General prevailed in this matter before the Supreme Court of Canada.
