Simon Lemay is a lawyer and trademark agent in Langlois lawyers’ Quebec City office. His practice focuses on both intellectual property law and business law.
With more than 20 years’ experience in trademark law, with a particular focus on the agri-food industry, Simon offers unparalleled expertise in trademark protection strategies. He assists clients with respect to identifying mitigating and managing major intellectual property risks, as well as evaluating multiple business opportunities. As a trademark agent, he cleverly guides and advises clients with applications pertaining to patents, trademarks and models across the province and excels in assessing trademark registration, validity and market clearance.
Early in his career, Simon was assigned to several positions at a food processing company, including the position of Director of Legal Services. He also distinguished himself by setting up an internal trademark management agency and was also entrusted with the management and protection of the intellectual property of this company.
Simon is regularly invited to deliver lectures on intellectual property. In addition, his experience and training in the food industry prompted him to advise companies in this sector on issues of food quality management and food safety.
Simon is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Integrated Center for Health and Social Services of the National Capital and is also the founder and president of the non-profit organization Le Dragon Boréal, which aims to develop self-esteem among young people through the practice of Kempo karate.
